Reports to the Operation Executive and / or Store Manager for all aspects of sales and operational tasks in the section.
For Assistant Chief Cashiers and Cashiers, report on the Cashiering duties.
For Cashiers, must be well versed with cashiering duties, always familiar with the various promotions and discount structure in particular during sale period.
For the Assistant Chief Cashier position, have to lead the team of Cashiers, organising their work schedule and sufficient Cashier coverage at all times.
Assists Operation Executives to ensure the section of the store are well organised with merchandise placed neatly in bins, replenishment done whenever stock is less and all other areas clean and tidy to ensure customers get a good shopping experience.
Is on duty on the selling floors looking out for customers to sell all items at all times.
Is knowledgeable of the items on sale and upsells at all times.
Informs superior if the stock is low and not available in store room.
Attends to customers in a pleasant manner and is well versed with the items on sale.
Assists to ensure shrinkage is controlled.
Checks the area of coverage ensuing cleanliness, safety and security is maintained at all times.
Sales oriented and is able to sell to achieve sales targets.
Able to provide high degree of customer satisfaction ensuring feedback from all parties are favourable.
Able to work shift hours.
Candidates with a Diploma in a relevant field will be preferred but those with SPM will be considered.
Must have at least 3 years’ of working experience in the related field for the Assistant Chief Cashier position and for others if have 1 year’s experience will be good. Those without experience will be provided with training.
Those with computer knowledge of Microsoft Office Package will be advantageous.
Resourceful, self-motivated with high integrity in the performance of job tasks.
Willingness to work longer hours when necessary to ensure work flow is done within deadline and during festive and other sale period.
For Cashiers and Assistant Chief Cashier, must be accurate and those who have cash handling experience will be preferred, eventhough for Cashiers, training will be provided.
Must have a high level of professionalism, honesty, and excellent work ethics.
Able to converse and write well in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Those who can speak and write Chinese would have an added advantage though not essential.
